Dude, I thought you had passed away.
The last time you contacted me you were a meth addict. You claimed you were a "functional" addict. Because of the all the drama in your life that I had to deal with, I wrote you off. Good luck in your future endeavors. I don't need your drama in my life.

Dearest Long Ago Friends I thought Scott,

It has been a long time since I have decided to write anything back to you. I thought that I would include you into a recent event regarding my family. I am attempting to reconnect to old friends with the news of this only to reflect a passage of time.

No matter what conflicts we might have encountered in the last period of our face to face friendship, I still view you as a friend.

On July 12th 2013, my father passed away as a result of terminal renal cancer that did in fact travel from his original tumor kidney they removed but spread to his lung and to his brain.

[ This includes a photo album of my dad over the years ]

It was about a year and half ago that my father had his one kidney removed and was in a cascading failure to death. There is a very good reason why I am placing this information upon you here and now in the year 2013.

You see, my father had been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for over 20 years. For most of his adult life, he was obese and typically held a weight of over 240 lbs. His driver's license says he was 5'8".

As you are most likely aware, I myself have struggled with weight issues ever since I was a kid. I was born with the fat genes within my metabolism I suppose.

I will include a recent picture of my nephew David Driskill and perhaps share with you a picture of my brother. Everyone in our family seems to be struggling with weight.

My grandmother [ mom's mother ] who also had weight issues died at the age of 94 and my other grandmother on my dad's side died at age 91. But the men all died much younger than their mates. My mom's dad died of cancer when I was very young around age 4 and my other grandfather died a few years before I graduated high school in 1983.

So this is a bit of my family tree history.

Why am I contacting you with this information. It was about 4 years ago when I too was diagnosed with Diabetic. My all time highest adult weight had been 240 but my average adult life weight settles in about 210-210lbs. I was taking just medications up until about 2010 when it was suggested that I start to take Insulin. Since I started taking insulin when my A1C was over 8, I really decided to really work on some issues regarding my overall longevity of life concerning this health related stress factors. In December my A1C tested at 5.2 and I no longer am needing to be on insulin. My current weight is around 190.

Well, as a matter of health, I know that you too have struggled with weight. This is one reason why I am contacting you. Please accept this message with good heart and good will as it is intended.

I will be in Oakland on September 3rd to begin a long walk to San Bernardino which is currently routed at around 492 miles.

As a matter of events in my life, I made a promise to walk home in protest to the attorney on record in an eviction case [ WG06266106 ] filed against me April 20th 2006.

That address has been placed online and titled Oh Kind Sir

I know we may not agree.

BUT IF WE CANNOT FIND UNDERSTANDING

I MUST WALK AWAY -- WITH MY HUMAN FEET
ONE HUMAN STEP BY ONE HUMAN STEP
OUT OF THIS COMMUNITY BACK TO HOME.

Tell me why not. Am I wrong? Am I right?
Are you afraid to discuss it with me?

I HURT : MY SOUL HURTS

That is the emotion that
sweeps through my heart.

: I PROMISE MYSELF :
: I PROMISE GODDESS :
: I PROMISE GOD I MUST :
: I PROMISE YOU KIND SIR :

I WILL WALK TO THE DIRECTION OF HOME....
TO KNOW I HAVE TO BE ABLE TO SPEAK

TO REMOVE

& slavery, & slaughter, & starvation."
